He was predeceased by: his parents, Orion Merritt and Evelyn Merritt (Wooley); and his pets, Jasper and Rosie. He is survived by: his wife Christine Ross; his children, Scott Merritt and Jennifer Garritson (Eric); and his pets, Sam, Dave, Heidi, Hannah and Fritz.
