He was predeceased by: his parents, John F. Schwab and Ann Loretta Schwab (Talbot); his wife Marlene M. Schwab (Spreitzer); his daughter Kristina Bartusek; his siblings-in-law, Mary (Spreitzer), Raymond, Robert Spreitzer and Jon W. Cassidy; and also Rose Spreitzer (VanVleck).

He is survived by: his daughter Jacqueline Schwab of Tampa, FL; his grandson Austin Bartusek of Tempe, AZ; his sister Mary Ann Ward (Jim) of New Lenox, IL; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Cassidy (Spreitzer) of Lewisville, TX, Cheryl Lisi (Al) of Viera, FL, Richard Spreitzer of Joliet, IL and Sue Spreitzer of Elwood, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.
