He was predeceased by: his mother Deloris Daugherty (Smith); his grandparents, Smith, Juanita Hudson, Daniel and Birdie Daugherty; and his father-in-law John Johnson.
He is survived by: his father Lawrence Daugherty of Joliet; his wife Cheryl Johnson of Elwood; his children, Anthony Daugherty (Andrea) of Joliet, Daniel Daugherty of Elwood and Erin Williams (Joshua) of Hobart, IN; his grandchildren, Ethan, Olivia Williams and Dylan Daugherty; his stepgrandchildren, TJ Smith, Dalilah, Saya, Alisa and Daphne Myers; his siblings, Laura Johnston (Frank) of Morris and Matthew Daugherty (Sabrina) of Franklin Park; his mother-in-law Linda Johnson of Joliet; and his close friend Ella. He is also survived by 1 nephew, 2 nieces and numerous cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to Joliet Hospice or the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois.
