He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Kinder and Dorothy Kinder (Saleske). He is survived by: his brothers, David Kinder (Gary) of St. Louis and Mark (Claudia Kinder); his nieces and nephews, Adam (Audrey Kinder), Joshua Kinder of Elkhart, Indiana, Sarah (Eric Allen) and Emily Kinder of Hohenwald, Tennessee; and his great-nephews, Ezekiel, Tobias, Theodore Kinder, Jacob and Nolan Allen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Brussels, Illinois or the American Cancer Society.
