She was predeceased by: her parents, June Fortune and Margorie Fortune of Illinois; and her brother Myron Fortune. She is survived by: her children, Walter Eugene Avery Jr. (Anne) of Elmwood, IL., Craig Thomas Avery (Kelly) of Urbana, IL., Eugenia Rosanne Nicholson of St. Louis, MO and Rhonda Lynn Avery (David) of Clyde, OH.; her grandchildren, Walter Avery, David Avery, Chrystal Avery, Amanda Avery, Stephanie Brittor, Tera Wilkes, Brock Nicholson, Samantha Avery, Angel Rankin, Ryan Avery, Tiffany Ford, Ed Christy, Brent Nicholson, Lee Christy and Billie Jean Herrmann; and her sibling Vena Donaldson. She is also survived by caregiver for many of her beloved friends.
