It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jean Peterson of Elmwood, Illinois, born in Canton, Illinois, who passed away on January 7, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Baxter Lightfoot and Helen Lightfoot (Whited); her spouse Dale Peterson; and her siblings, Don Lightfoot and Jane Johnson.

She is survived by: her children, Cindy Daniels (Mike), Mike Peterson (Karen), Linda Elliott (Darrell) and Mark Peterson (Kim); her grandchildren, Kurt, Keith, Greg, Eric, Michele, Brian, Rachel, Haley and Ben; and her great grandchildren, Adriane, Brayden, Logan, Owen, Morgun, Avery and Luke.

Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church in Farmington, IL.

“I cannot say what a hole this leaves in my heart. We were friends from early school days. I shall miss her quiet ways. Our deepest sympathies to all the family from all of us here in Texas. Our sincerest wish was that we were never able to make the drive back to Illinois once again to see Jean. We never missed the chance to visit her and Dale when we rolled thru Farmington. The fieldstone house will always be the reminder of both of them and all the children!”
