She was predeceased by: her parents, James F. Powell and Gladys A. Powell (Strassburger); and her siblings, Jim, Jerry, John and Joanne Svymbersky.
She is survived by: her spouse Carroll W. Gard; her daughters, Kathy Smith (John) of Bartonville, Julie Reynolds (Kevin) of North Carolina, Carrie Kelly of Farmington and Dianna Price (Jeff) of Elmwood; her brother Dan Powell of Arizona; her grandchildren, Adam, Aaron, Andrew, Alyssa Smith, Jessica Windsor, Amanda Reynolds, Brandon Reynolds, Lynsey Silverthorn, Carrollyn Sorenson, Kayte LaFollett, Megan Spring and Jesse LaFollett; and her stepgrandson Zach Kelly. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and five step-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Alzheimer's Association.
