Delorse left this world on January 7, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde A. Yelm and Golda M. Yelm (Lumberry); her husband James E. Heflin; her grandson Tony Lewis; and her siblings, Eileen Daniels, Lois Stodgel and Dorance Yelm.
She is survived by: her children, Rudy Lewis (Chris) of Peoria, IL, Edward Lewis (Marilyn) of Williamsfield, Randy Lewis of DuQuoin, IL and Trudy Self of Williamsfield; her grandchildren, Matt Lewis (Jessica), Josh Lewis (Erin), Joel Lewis (Kim), Mike Lewis (Suzy), Travis Lewis (Janelle), Kevin Lewis (Jodi), Patrick Lewis, Jaime Dougherty (Adam), Allison Knight (Nate), Michelle Welker (late Randy), Amy Blackhurst (Vince), Michael Cole and Dallas Self (Erin); and her brothers, Merle Edward Yelm (Jane) and William Yelm (Lori). She is also survived by 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home - Knoxville (120 N Public Square, Knoxville, IL 61448). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
