He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Leaette Olson; his siblings, Laura, Elmer (Joy) and Richard Olson (Ginny); his sisters-in-law, Judy and Carol (Wally); and his parents, Elmer Olson and Virginia Olson.

He is survived by: his children, Erik Olson and Leaette Caravello (Scott); his grandchildren, Samuel Olson, Gabrielle, Madeline and Olivia Caravello; and his sister-in-law Patty (late John).
