In the vast expanse of eternity, Lawrence shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Lawrence farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Merkelz and Eleanore Merkelz; and his siblings, Richard Merkelz Sr. and Kathleen Merkelz. He is survived by: his brothers, Arthur Merkelz Jr. (Dorothy), Daniel Merkelz (Rhea) and Edward Merkelz.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Celestine Church (3020 N 76th Ct, Elmwood Park, IL 60707). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
