He was predeceased by: his wife Rose Mary Fahey; and his siblings, Dr. Richard (late Emmeline), Dr. John (Livia) and Eileen Pare (late Paul). He is survived by: his children, Eugene A., Cecelia Osborn (late James), Brendan (Carolyn), Mary Hughes (Jerry), Paul (Stephanie), Eileen Boffa (Steve), Peggy Larson (Bob) and Christine Rudek (Tom); his grandchildren, James, Elizabeth Osborn, Kayleen Martinez (Chayanne), Joseph, Bridget, Annie, Caroline, Jillian, Brendan Fahey, Aidan, Kateri, Declan, Timmy Hughes, Emily Kujawa (Jamie), Erin, Mary, Tessa Fahey, Rita, Tina, Julia, Genna Boffa, Madi, Ben Larson, Olivia, Grace, Lily and Joe Rudek; and his great grandchildren, Ariella and Amaya Martinez.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Eugene's name to Misericordia Heart of Mercy would be appreciated.

“I will never forget this man. He was my English teacher in 1967 at Schurz High School. Two years later, in 1969, he was my Guidance Counselor, and the reason I applied for financial aid and to colleges. He helped me by encouraging me and also with practical assistance because I did not have any engaged adults in my family of origin. To learn that he lived another 50 years tells me that he helped many, many students in his time. I'm sure his family already knows this. Thank you Mr. Fahey!”
