He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary E.; his parents, Mary Ellen (late Bill Gleason) and Bill Dunne; and his siblings, Bill Dunne (Jaynie), Anne Baetz (late Tim), Mary Liz Dudek (Bill) and Peter Dunne (Laura). He was also cherished by uncle D of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (134 Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL 60126).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tampa Bay Waterkeeper, 260 1st Avenue South, Box 226, St. Petersburg, FL 33701.
