He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jane Laughton; his children, Cheryl Bocskov (Pete), Craig Laughton (Charlotte) and Terrill Laughton (Deborah); his grandchildren, Erik, Grace, Peter, Rachel, Jonathan, Elizabeth and Eleanor; and his siblings, Harol-Deane Garren (late Gerald), Janice Peterson (late Jarvis) and Keith Laughton.
