He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley A. Kavcar; his parents, Joseph, Sr. Kavcar and Mary Kavcar; his brother Joseph, Jr. Kavcar (Mary); and his brother-in-law Robert Kanta (late Donna).
He is survived by: his children, Richard Kavcar, Jr. (Colleen) of Tallmadge, OH, Christine Marie Melsa (Jon) of Plainfield and Mark Kavcar (Lynn) of Hinckley, IL; his grandchildren, Brian Richard, Zachary Joseph, Megan Marie, Lauren Elizabeth, Julia Marie, Jacob Andrew, Emily Anne and Madelyn Clare; his great grandchild Elias Angel Kavcar; and his siblings-in-law, Carol Meyers (late Kenneth) of Euclid, OH and Thomas Kanta (Judith) of North Ridgeville, OH.
