He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Lois; his children, Patty Newlin (Greg), Ray (Denise), Barb Gunderson (Wayne), Bob (Sheryl) and Bill (Audrey); his grandchildren, Jason, Kristy, Julie, Robin, Kelly, Jamie, Kyle and Danny; and his parents, Raymond Smith and Ann Smith.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials will be appreciated for St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 125 W. Church St., Elmhurst, IL 60126.
