Though Nijole Boguta may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Nijole Boguta touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jonas. She is survived by: her brother Jonas Boguta; her daughter Vilia Dedinas (Chris Gair); her sisters, Vitalija Keblys and Birute Flick; her grandchildren, Aleksandras Dedinas Geoly, Tomas Dedinas Geoly and Andrew Dedinas Geoly; and her sister-in-law Teresa Boguta.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (134 Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial will be held on Friday, November 15th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Child's Gate to Learning (http://www.childgate.org) that helps at risk children in Lithuania or Nijole's alma mater Johns Hopkins Peabody Institute Preparatory or Conservatory Scholarship Fund (https://peabody.jhu.edu), where Nijole was a recipient of full scholarships.
