It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marlene H. Stokes (Elmhurst, Illinois), who passed away on January 5, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Marlene departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Marlene may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Marlene leaves behind.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Theodore Schintz and Marjorie Schintz; her sister Barbara; her son Michael Stokes (Jana); and her grandchildren, Camille, Morgan and Avery.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126).
