With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Katherine A. Orfei of Elmhurst, Illinois, who passed away on August 2, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Fanelli and Angelina Fanelli; and her sibling Francis Fanelli. She is survived by: her children, Dante Orfei (Margaret McGowan), Renee Crowley (Dennis) and Perry Orfei; her grandchildren, Dante Orfei III, Dennis Crowley IV, Anne Heidenberger (Peter) and Daniel Crowley; her children-in-law, Laura Orfei (Gregory Keenan) and Lovingly; and her friend Elizabeth "Lee" Mungo (Frank).
