He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. and Gertrude; his brother Paul; his wife Sharon; and his girlfriend Maggie.
He is survived by: his sons, John S. Jr. "Steve" (Kimberly), Scott and Brett (Marianne); his grandchildren, Ryan (Lynda), Daniel, Connor, Cole, Kolby, Kayla, Cody (Carli), Alex and Mercy; and his caregiver Joy Burkland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and sister-in-law.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 8:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
