He is survived by: his sons, John S. Jr. "Steve" (Kimberly), Scott and Brett (Marianne); his grandchildren, Ryan (Lynda), Daniel, Connor, Cole, Kolby, Kayla, Cody (Carli), Alex and Mercy; and his caregiver Joy Burkland. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and sister-in-law.
