He was predeceased by: his sibling Jean Alvarez (Ernesto); and his parents, Jean M. O'Brien and George J. O'Brien. He is survived by: his sisters, Gabrielle Evans (Bill Troyak), Sharon O'Brien and Bernadette O'Brien; and his nieces and nephews, Megan, Kathleen Alvarez, James Evans and Christopher O'Brien.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, August 27th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, 1121 14th St NW, Suite 150, Washington D.C., 20005.
