With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dean J. Sletten of Elmhurst, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife June M.; his children, Richard Sletten (Madeleine), Mary Fergus (Michael), Michael (Rebecca) and Tom Sletten (Margaret); his grandchildren, Samuel, Andrew Sletten, Kaitlin Hawkins (Clint), Alyson Kenny (William), Michael, Lauren Fergus, Molly, Amy and Grace Sletten; and his great grandchild Lincoln Hawkins. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 24th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 25th 2024 from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM at the Gibbons Funeral Home (134 S York St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (134 Arthur St, Elmhurst, IL 60126). A burial was held on Friday, October 25th 2024 at the Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery (1400 S Wolf Rd, Hillside, IL 60162).
