He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Jane B. Bates; his children, Susan Huntley (late Robert) and William S. Bates; his child-in-law Merle Bates; his granddaughters, Rebecca Ketelsen (Sam), Frances Schneider (Bryan) and Katherine Meyers (Greg); his great grandchildren, Emma, Gianna, Arianna, Griffin, Quinn and Caroline; his sister-in-law Kay O'Keefe (late Tom); and his nephews, Robert, Michael, Patrick, Billy and James O'Keefe.
