He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilkins "Jack" and Floss Sutton Evans; and his brothers, Edgar Lee Evans and James Evans. He is survived by: his wife Lois Kaufman; and his daughter Janine "Jan" Evans of Bloomington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to Dawson Cemetery or the Heyworth Christian Church.
