We are sad to announce that on October 3, 2022, at the age of 71, Delila Kay Bane of Ellsworth, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Kirby and Mona Forrest Kirby; and her brother Dave Kirby. She is survived by: her husband Irvin Lee Bane; her children, Sheldon Bane (Kristen) of Maryville and Regina Van Buren of Phoenix, Arizona; her granddaughters, Lydia and Cora Bane; and her children, Eva and Ryan Van Buren.

Memorials may be made to the Dawson Cemetery Association or the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.

“When Lloyd and I moved to the Soward house 39 years ago, Delila was the first to welcome us to the neighborhood. Lloyd and I looked up to Delila for the caretaker that she was to her family. When her mother was in the nursing home, we saw Delila drive by daily on her many faithful visits to see her mother. Again, Delila was there to care for Toby and Maudie in their senior years. May her reward be great and may her soul rest in peace. Prayers of comfort and peace to the family.”
