With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon Leo Junger of Ellis Grove, Illinois, who passed away on June 11, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Peter and Gertrude Dorothy Junger (Gaertner); and his siblings, Paul A. Junger, Lawrence Junger, Louise Bleem and Dorothy Niermann.

He is survived by: his wife Jeraldine M. Junger; his children, Joseph Junger Garza (Brent), Kenneth Junger (Dawn), Tammy Rushing (Greg) and Gina Hoelscher (Tommy); his grandchildren, Kayla A. Welge, Trisha L. Junger, Tristen J. Junger, Scott T. Hoelscher, Claire E. Junger, Clayton Hoelscher, Ryan Junger and Derek Junger; his great grandchildren, Austyn Pine, Josie Loucks, Mckenzie Louks, Liam Hoelscher and Asher Hoelscher; and his sisters, Rose Mary Calahan and Loretta Fairchild.
