It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dale Arthur Davitz of Ellis Grove, Illinois, who passed away on August 17, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Davitz and Ethel Davitz (Caudle); his wife Joyce Ann Davitz (Harris); his brother Kermith Davitz; his brother-in-law Gordon Strong; and his parents-in-law, Wesley and Ladora Harris.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Davitz (Deborah) of Red Bud, IL, Micky Lee Davitz (Lauren) of Chester, IL, Jeff Davitz (Donna) of Ellis Grove, IL, Jerry Davitz (Tereasa) of Rockwood, IL and Scott Davitz (Torrie) of Chester, IL.; his sister Dorris Strong of Ellis Grove, IL; and his grandchildren, Ricky, Tyler, Kourtney, Matthew, Nathan, Randi, Holly, Seth, Alyssa, Kacie, Jeffrey, Joshua, Paige, Brittany, Bailey, Emilee, Kayla and Raven. He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren, numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Dale will be remembered for his contributions to his community and his family.
