He was predeceased by: his parents, Estell Godsey and Lucille Godsey (Hickerson); and his sister Rose Duff. He is survived by: his children, Torri Followell (Dustin) and Jacob Godsey (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Parker, Aiden Followell and Piper Godsey; and his nephews, Mike, John, Tim and Bryan Cavinder.
