He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Eugene and Mary Dawe (Hunter); his daughter Heather Swayne; his brother Jere Dawe; and his sister-in-law Cheri Dawe.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie L. Burns; his grandson Dalton Swayne of Chicago; his nephews, Jeremy Dawe, Jonathan Dawe and Simon Dawe; his niece Pilar Berry (Dawe); his great-nephew Hunter Berry; and his great-nieces, Amiah Berry, Molly Berry and Isabell Berry. He is also survived by three great great nephews.
Friends may make memorials to the Elkville Christian Church or Hospice of Southern Illinois Blue West and will be accepted at the funeral home.
