Nadine Shadowen Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2024, at the age of 99, Nadine Shadowen of Elkville, Illinois, born in Herrin, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ed Ridgway and Ethel Mae Ridgway (Arnold); her husband Fred Joseph Shadowen Sr.; her son Fred Joseph Shadowen Jr.; and her siblings, Opal, Ruth, Wanda, Lola "Babe", Ralph, Wally and Edward.
She is survived by: her granddaughters, Francine Helton (Jay) of Cape Girardeau, Carolyn Gant (Bobby) of Elkville and Natalie Romero of New Braunfels, Texas; her great grandchildren, Christopher Farris, Abigail Farris, Jericka Helton, Zoe Gant and Bobby Gant Jr.; her brothers, William Ridgway, John Ridgway and Fred Ridgway; and her daughter-in-law Ethel Shadowen. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Humane Society of Southern Illinois.
