He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Allen Eugene and Ruth Gladson Winthrop; his wife Jill Winthrop; his daughters, Mallory Bollinger (Jermaine) and Ellie Winthrop; his grandchildren, Slater and Nova Bollinger; and his sisters, Jeanne Korando (Mitch) of Elkville, Lisa Winthrop (Richard Jorgenson) and Jodi Atchison (Bobby) of Sesser. He was also cherished by seven nieces and one nephew.
