He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Lou; and his son Edward. He is survived by: his children, John Serafin (Cheryl), Jeanne Manglaris (George) and Barbara Dantona (Chris); his grandchildren, Bret, Ryan, Madeline Serafin, Angela, Nicholas Manglaris (Rachel), Taylor Luffman (Ethan), Sam, Dean Serafin, Andrew and Brianna Dantona; his great grandchildren, River and Hunter Luffman; and his in-laws, Dorathy and Louis Gennuso. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
