With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Nicholas Filca (Elk Grove Village, Illinois), born in Berwyn, Illinois, who passed away on August 27, 2023 at the age of 24. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He is survived by: his parents, Bojinca Filca and Emilia Filca; his grandfather Iosip Weber; his aunt Ana Lucacella (Krista); his uncle Nicolae Filca (Maria); his cousins, Daniel Lucacella (Magdalina), Svetlana Vlasici (Nicolae) and Jasmina Filca; and his friends, Jarred, Joey, Jake, Justin, Joe and Marc.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, Mental Health America, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Child Mind Institute, StrongMinds, Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, and Active Minds.
