With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lorraine L Sacheck (Elk Grove Village, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2025 at the age of 94. She was predeceased by: her parents, Sophie Gabrys and Leo Gabrys; and her husband Jerry. She is survived by: her children, Norine Rosen (David), Lynn Michalak, Elizabeth Alexander (Norman), Randal Sacheck (Barbara) and Neal Sacheck; her grandchildren, Philip Rosen (Sharla), Lesley Rosen, Ellyn Hanzel (Patrick), Lauren Andersson (Charlie) and Grace Alexander (Yu Sakai); her great grandchildren, Rainey Hanzel and Henry Rosen; and her pet Maggie.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grove Memorial Chapel (1199 S Arlington Heights Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007). Viewing was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament St. Julian Eymard Church (601 Biesterfield Rd, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007). A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at the St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery (1185 W Algonquin Rd, Palatine, IL 60067).
Lorraine has requested no flowers. If you would like to make a contribution in her name, her favorite charities are the Buddy Foundation in Arlington Heights, IL, the Anti-Cruelty Society and the Salvation Army.
