It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ralph David Barnes of Elizabethtown, Illinois, born in Shawneetown, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Allen and Charlotte Katie Barnes (Barnard); his wife Mary Elizabeth "Sally" Lane; and his siblings, Alma Ruth Glover, John Henry, Floyd Jack and Harold.
He is survived by: his daughter Sheila Brown of Karbers Ridge; his siblings, Linda Price of Karbers Ridge, Ina Frields of Raleigh, Donnie Barnes of Cave and Bub (Peggy Winters); his grandchildren, Jacqueline "Jackie" Brown of Godfrey, Krista Brown of Bethalto, David Brown of East Alton and Kayla (Ryan Lindley); and his great grandchildren, Brody and Elodie Lindley.
