He was predeceased by: his parents, James Pearce and Mildred Pearce (Allen); his children, Lisa and William; his sister Virginia Bruner; and his brother-in-law Wayne Bruner.

He is survived by: his wife Sharon Niemeyer; his children, Rob Pearce (Donna) of Elizabeth, Lori Beach (Steve) of Rockford, IL and Richard Pearce (Meah) of Elizabeth; and his grandchildren, Shannon Diehl (Justin), Renee Busch (Brian), Amy Wiscons (Justin), Sara Beach (Mat Loveridge), Hayden Beach, Jessica Beach, Zoe Pearce (Anthony Bertucci), Eli Beach and Abby Beach. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
