We are sad to announce that on January 15, 2023, at the age of 70, Donald L Stadel of Elizabeth, Illinois, born in Shullsburg, Wisconsin passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald L Stadel to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. Stadel and Mary Ann Stadel (Werner); and his brothers-in-law, Ron Webster and Randy Walters. He is survived by: his wife Sheri M. Smith; his sons, Brandon Stadel (Amber) of Asbury, IA and Barrett Stadel (Candace) of San Diego, CA; his stepchildren, Luke Gille (Misty) of Springtown, TX, Josh Gille (Ryann) of Burleson, TX, April Snyder of Lovettsville, VA and Sterling Willbanks (Victoria) of Elizabeth, IL; and his siblings, Sharon Webster of Scales Mound, IL, Gary Stadel (Carla) of Elizabeth, IL, Debbie Walters of Elizabeth, IL and Donna Gerlich (Keith) of Elizabeth, IL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Don's name to the Safe Haven Animal Shelter in Elizabeth, IL.

“I am so very sorry for the loss of Don.I only knew him for only a short while, Don built my Dream house. In that year of construction I came to appreciate his incredible skill set. He had his moments of being stubborn but he always seemed to be right in the end.When he arrived in his pickup with his lab. In tow I felt totally at ease and he was the man I wanted to work with.
