He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin E. "Pete" Rakow and May Rakow; and his sister Barbara Ann Rietz. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his daughters, Stephanie Doran (Paul), Jennifer Rakow (Larry Meyer) and Amanda VanLue (Ryan); his grandchildren, Julien (Claire), Kevin, Daniel (Danielle), Alex, Natalie, Ben, Claire and Pete; and his great grandchild Owen.
