It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Thelma Mae Avampato of Elgin, Illinois, born in Derry, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Beuten and Margaret Beuten; and her son John Michael Avampato. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, Janet Avampato, Joseph Avampato (Sarah), Margaret Avampato and Joyce Koch (Robert); her daughter-in-law Judy Avampato; and her siblings, Ted Beuten (Barb), Lee Beuten, Edward Beuten (Maria) and Madonna Scullion (Jerry). She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 12 greatgrandchildren.
