He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Veronica; his children, Jamie Hodge (Jacob), Amanda Kyle (Steven), Lisa Day (Nick) and Steven; his grandchildren, Jason, Luke, Wesley, Nathan, Michael, Molly, Noah, Danny, Joey, Matthew, Ryan and Lainey; his sisters, Kathy Benner (John) and Jeanne Rice (Terry); and his parents, Wallace Berglund and Betty Berglund (Steinmetz). He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Home of Grace Evangelical (1800 Bowes Rd, Elgin, IL 60123). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
