He is survived by: his wife Grace Carlson; his children, James Carlson, Michael Carlson (Tiofi) and Linda Carlson; his grandchildren, Emma, Damaris, Eleeza, Roberta and Diana; and his brothers, Donald Carlson (Lina) and Aaron Carlson (Sandra).
Memorials may be given in Sam's name to the Evangelical Covenant Church of Elgin.
