She was predeceased by: her parents, William Acker and Carolyn Acker (Burnidge). She is survived by: her sisters, Terri Gaudio (Louis) and Tammi Zemp (Horst); and her nephew Hagen Zemp.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Elgin IL.
