He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Loeding and Ella Loeding; his sister Eleanor Hodges; and his brothers-in-law, Richard Baumgart (Charlotte) and Robert Baumgart (Susan).
He is survived by: his wife Angela; his children, Terri Greenfield (Michael), Stephen Loeding, Elizabeth Zoesch (James), Gail Loeding, Jennifer Bukowy (Mark), Gerald Loeding (Amy) and Donna Dietzler; his sisters, Elaine Livingston (James), Doris Gottschalk (Charles) and Ruth Nicolosi (Christopher); and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Schmidt (Herb) and Bonita Donnelly (Samuel). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
