He was predeceased by: his wife Marcia; and his siblings, Dr. Wilson Vargas (Matilde) and Cumanda. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Poveda (Jorge), Maria Vargas-Houser (late Karl), Susan Vargas-Sauceda (Gerard), Marcia Vargas-Quesada (Alberto), Mauricio Vargas (Claudia) and Joey Vargas; his grandchildren, Jorge Poveda (Kirsten), Marcia Torres (Antonio), Brittney Tucker (Morgan), Sophia Quesada and Daniel Quesada; and his great grandchildren, Isla, Ava, Teo, Amaya, Jackson and Grayson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas More Catholic Church (215 Thomas More Dr, Elgin, IL 60123).
