He was predeceased by: his daughter Karen Gorrin; and his siblings, Shirley Silberman and Beverly Weiner. He is survived by: his child Gail Heraty (Brian); and his grandchildren, Alexander, Zachary and Elizabeth Heraty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Congregation Kneseth Israel.
