Jane S. Israel Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane S. Israel (Elgin, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 9, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Schrack and Ivy Schrack (Hilts); her former husband William Swick Sr.; her children, Cynthia Drafall (Swick), Cindy Israel and Don Israel; and her siblings, Robert Schrack (Betty), Lloyd Schrack, Jr. (Rose Marie), Pauline Schrack, Betty Tappan-Sharer (Benjamin) and Marilyn Kane (Robert).
She is survived by: her husband Emmett Israel; her sons, William Swick Jr. (Linda), Robert Swick (Chris), Andrew Swick (Mindy) and Tom Israel (Kim); her son-in-law Larry Drafall; and her daughter Laura Kantor (Ed). She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123).
