She was predeceased by: her parents, Mike Szemenyei and Stefania Szemenyei (Kozman); her husband George; her daughter Stefanie Ann Childs; and her sister Margaret Carlson.

She is survived by: her son Steven Childs (Kristin Harrington); her grandsons, Richard and Henry; and her nephew Robert Carlson of San Diego, California..

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Elgin History Museum or the Elgin Sports Hall of Fame.
