She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Bates and Ruth Bates (Elder); her husband Carlton "Dave" Platt; her son Todd; her grandson Jakob; and her sisters, Alice Swinford and Wanda Bowman.
She is survived by: her daughter Tanya Palmer (Gary); her stepchildren, Chris Platt (Denise) and Cheryl Skinner; her granddaughters, Ashley Bayer (Ben) and Erin Poppen (Scott); her great grandchildren, Liam, Jaxson and Maverick; her stepgrandchildren, Christian Platt (Carrie), Kyle Platt (Jessica), Lindsey Ball (Trevor), Olivia Platt and Jacob Skinner; and her sister Linda Mennerick (Chuck). She is also survived by her many friends and neighbors.
