Frank Rubino Obituary
Frank P. Rubino, 58, of Elgin, passed away suddenly Saturday, October 1, 2022. Frank's passions were restoring classic cars and motorcycles and caring for his Koi pond. He was a graduate of Parks College of Aviation at St. Louis University with a bachelor's degree and the University of Phoenix with a master's degree in business. He worked for ATA and Southwest Airlines for 35 years, many as a lead aircraft mechanic.
Friends and family were much-loved by and very important to Frank. He and his soulmate, Jackie, have been together for 35 years. They traveled the world, creating memories everywhere from Bali and Vietnam to Usshya, South America. In all they visited six continents.
Beloved best friend and husband of Jacqueline "Jackie" (nee Palmer); loving son of Frank and Mary (nee McVerry) Rubino; dear brother of Julie (Dennis) Nastali and Peter (Jerilyn) Rubino; fond and generous uncle of Mary Kate and Bridget Nastali, Mackenzie Palmer, Meg and Joey Rubino, Sean (Donna) Palmer, and Kristen (Ed) Braukus.
Memorial visitation Sunday, October 9, from 1:00 pm until time of service at 4:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home and Crematory 95 S. Gilbert St. (at State St.), South Elgin.
