It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Emmanuel Blazakis of Elgin, Illinois, who passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emmanuel Blazakis to pay them a last tribute.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Nikolaos Blazakis and Despina Blazakis; his wife Angie Blazakis (Aggeliki); his children, Christina Blazakis, Despina Marneris (Demetrios) and Nikolaos Blazakis (Irene); his grandchildren, Elena Mihalopoulos (Thodoris), Angie Galyfa, Nikos Marneris (Genie), Angelica Jones (Michael), Manolis Marneris, Manolis Blazakis and Kostas Blazakis; his great grandchild Despina Marneris; and his sisters, Maria Aggelopoulos (Panagiotis) and Mina Petousis (Christos). He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church or to the family to be distributed to other charities.
