He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, LeRoy Mapes and Rose Mapes; his wife Ann; and his children, Sheryl Johnson (Jeff), Don Mapes Jr., Sue Pacione (Peter) and Dave Mapes (Erin). He was also cherished by grandchildren.
